Domaine Jean Fournier Marsannay Clos du Roy 2021

Clos du Roy lies in Chenôve, the northernmost commune in the AOP and one of Marsannay's finest terroirs, a future premier cru that gives very characterful, minerally wines.

Inside Burgundy: "A robust crimson purple. The bouquet is relatively inexpressive but indicates significant intensity. No immediate signal of the stems. Even on the palate the weight of the vineyard takes the lead, a full mouthful of deep raspberry fruit, just enlivened a touch at the finish. All about the wine not the vinification. A long pure finish. Drink from 2025-2030."
